Saxon Math Program

  • Third grade uses the Saxon Math program – no textbooks are used at this level.
  • Worksheets are assigned nightly for homework.  Saxon assessments are given after every five lessons.
  • Areas covered include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, graphs, time, and money.
  • We have worked with multiplication facts during the first two quarters to prepare our students for their introduction in the Saxon program.
  • Help your child stay abreast of their facts by practicing them often.  We say it over and over…the more you practice, the better you’ll get.
  • Point out real life situations where you use these multiplication facts.  Show your child that it isn’t just memorizing for a test –this knowledge will help them for years to come!
  • A multiplication chart follows to help keep those skills sharp…
