Introduction

You are in the seventh grade and you are learning about the Middle East in Social Studies class. Pack your bags because you are going on a virtual tour of the Middle East.

The teacher has asked you to learn more about the different countries in the Middle East. You will be  able to use web sites and books.  Suggested  resources are listed below:

The Process

1.  Pick a buddy

2.  Choose four of the following different countries:

Egypt
Iran
Iraq
Israel
Jordan
Kuwait
Lebanon
Oman
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Turkey
United Arab Emirates
 Yemen

3.  After you have chosen your four countries, use the resources to answer the following questions.
What is the capital?
What does the flag look like?
What is the major religion?
What is the type of government?
What foods do they eat?
Why or why not would you want to visit the country?

4.  Each country should be a full page.
