Introduction

Meet Flora and Fauna. They are tour guides from North Carolina. They're going to take us on a road trip to show us all about the flora and fauna (plants and animals) of North Carolina. While we are away we are going to see all types of plants and animals from the three regions of North Carolina.

The Task

While we are away we are going to discover all types of plants and animals from North Carolina. Then we will present the information we have learned.

The Process

**Did you know that the venus fly trap can only be found on the NC Coast?**

In this lesson, you will discover plants and animals from North Carolina through a diorama.
bullet Research the flora and fauna by using the links and books listed below.
bullet Pick a region of North Carolina to focus your project on; it must show 2 types of flora and 2 types of fauna.
bullet Create a diorama out of a shoebox on this region.
bullet Write a page paper describing the plants and animals in your region. Describe 5 or more examples of flora and fauna. You must cover the outside of the shoebox diorama.
