Introduction
Rhyming is a fun way to use words in songs,
poems, and stories. We
will find rhyming patterns in word families. Enjoy using word families
and nursery rhymes as we sing, read and play through this quest.

The Task
-
Play the rhyming game "Miss Mary
Mack".
-
Sing favorite nursery rhymes.

Play a word family rhyming game.
-
Create your own rhyme using a word
family.
The Process
DAY 1:
1.
Click

Follow
the directions and play the clapping game “Miss Mary Mack” with your buddy.
3.
Write
down 3-5 rhyming words in the word family “ack”.
DAY 2:

Choose a favorite nursery
rhyme to read.
Read the rhyme to/with your buddy and sing along with the music.

Choose
from one of the three matching games found on the following page:

page and complete the activity.
