Thanks to the efforts of Maria Gomez, Blessed Sacrament School teacher for middle school science and social studies, funding for these Web Quests has been provided by the following grants:

  • Teaching With Technology Grant from the NC Association for Educational Communications and Technology.  The grant is entitled "Nothing Could Be Finer Than Web Quests About North Carolina"  The grant was for $1,000 which will be used to purchase a digital camera and $500 worth of books on NC studies for the BSS library.  As part of the grant, 8th graders will be creating web quests on North Carolina studies next fall.
  • Global Education Grant from the National Catholic Education Association for $750.  The grant is entitled "Conflict and Resolution in the Middle East."  The funding will be used to purchase library books on the Middle East as well as classroom sets of novels based in the Middle East for grades 6-8.  As part of the grant, 7th graders will create web quests about the Middle East that will be posted on the BSS website this  spring.
