Blessed Sacrament School is a member of PECSAA (Piedmont Elementary Catholic School Athletic Association). For most sports, students from 5th-8th grade are eligible to participate.
Track is open to K-8th grade.
Sports offered at Blessed Sacrament School:Fall: Tennis (co-ed, 6th-8th), Volleyball (co-ed, 5th-8th), Boys Soccer (5th-8th), Running Club (co-ed K-4th), Cross Country (co-ed 5th-8th)
Winter: Basketball (Boys and Girls 5th-8th), Cheerleading (5th-8th), Pep Squad (K-4th)
Spring: Track (co-ed, K-8th), Tennis (co-ed 6th-8th), Girls Soccer (5th-8th), Golf (co-ed 5th-8th), Elementary Basketball Club (co-ed 1st-4th)
Conference schools include: Our Lady of Grace, Greensboro; St Pius, Greensboro; Immaculate Heart of Mary, High Point; Our Lady of Mercy, Winston-Salem; St Leo's, Winston-Salem; Sacred Heart Catholic School, Salisbury
Non-conference schools we also compete against Burlington Christian Academy, The Burlington School, Rivermill Academy, and Immaculata Catholic School
The mission statement of Blessed Sacrament School states that the curriculum is planned to aid in the growth of the whole person spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically. The athletic program is to support this philosophy by providing positive supportive athletic experiences for as many children as possible, in an environment where each child will have an opportunity to participate within his or her abilities. Each adult coach, supervisor, and advisor will support the school's philosophy and adhere to all policies as stated by the principal and will make a commitment to place primary emphasis on each child's development and growth. The objective of the athletic program is to provide the individual and the team as a whole with an atmosphere that will encourage the athletes to be a positive influence on and off the playing fields while reaching their fullest potential.
Physical activity is important in children's development. All students have physical education classes instructing them on a wide variety of sports, developing athletic skills, and promoting teamwork.
