This month our youngest son will be graduating from Blessed Sacrament School. We have been a part of the BSS family for 16 years and we wanted to express our love and gratitude to the many wonderful teachers and staff members that have crossed our path over the years. Although we are not of the Catholic faith — our family attends Graham Presbyterian Church — we have always experienced inclusiveness as fellow Christians. Our sons both received an exceptional education that will serve them well.
As our youngest son wrote in a recent speech
“Looking back on my years at BSS, I can see how precious and valuable they’ve been. This school really is a special place, a place where you’re part of a family, a place where the student is put first, a place where you’re encouraged to be the best you can be. BSS is one of a kind. BSS is so special and rare that I’m lucky to have gotten to experience it at all and I’ll always be grateful to my parents for sending me here. I know BSS prepared me for my future so I’m not afraid to go toward it. This school helped make me who I am and I’m proud of that.”
So, with sadness we will say goodbye but we will always be a part of the BSS family. Our hope is that many other families will follow in our footsteps and discover the treasure that is Blessed Sacrament School.
